Happy Spring

This weeks challenge over at just-a-scrappin-blogspot.com was to make an easel card, I choose a seasonal theme for my card punching lavender butterflies and using assorted spring themed stamps.
I also added a trim of ribbon and a few embllishments and glitter glues to add color to my brad.
Using u-tube as a starting point for a little direction on how to start a easel card (I don't really do cards) I found a easy way to understand how to do this challenge.

Using a peach color cardstock I trimmed to 41/2 x 81/2 using a scoreboard I scored at 4 1/4 and 6 3/8
folding in 1/2 on the first score and the second score was folded in the opposite direction I then added adhesive to the flap of the fold.

Using a butterfly punch from ek sucess I punched out mini butterflies and with the negitive image I inked the corner of my card I also added a brad to the center and a few purple pearls to the fold to keep my card in the shape of the easel With my stamps I added my greeting to the botton corner and with an idea of fluttering insects I double stamped my image to the center of the top side and then added a stripe of green ribbon that kept to my spring theme.

Hope everyone has a blessed Easter and enjoys all that the Spring has to offer us with pretty flowers in bloom and the birds singing outside their kitchen windows and as always remember to stop by just-a-scrappin-blogspot.com and see all the wonderful creations from our design team.

  4. Like the butterflies stamped and die cut. Gives it a little more felling of them flying.
