Hello my friends hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer with Labor Day just a few days away, where did the year go? I know it's been on my mind having my baby turn 18 in July and he just started school senior year, our middle turned 20 on Sunday and our oldest will be 26 in a few weeks.
Life is just going past and I thought one day it's gonna be a just me and the hubby. We just enjoyed a nice week-end down the coast it was so nice to be kid-free but at the same time it got me thinking 27 years and we always made sure the kids were happy and all our family time was kid friendly we never had just grown-up time.
Just having a few days to ourselves made us realize we should do a get away when we can it was nice getting to know eachother again. And so my question to everyone is what will you do when life and happiness comes knocking at the door? Will you and your special someone take the time to enjoy it even if it's just a visit to the local coffee shop or a nice get away? Life is short and quickly passes don't let it get passed you to quickly. Take time to stop and smell the roses.
Here is my stairstep card hope you like it.
I used my Lori's Garden and also my Art Nouveau cartridges
I used DCWV in orange and the butterflies came from Lori's Garden cut at a 3.75 for the green one and the purple/blue butterflies were cut at 3.25 and my yellow one was cut at 3.5.
For my flower I cut it using Art Nouveau at 3.25 I then puched small butterflies using my Martha Steward punch and added Tim Holtz glitter to my wings.

Hello everyone !! Hope you all had a great week-end
For this weeks challenge it was teacher inspired using the color orange a little bling some ribbon and any color of our choice. I am so use to doing 12x12 pages I had to think out of the box and step away from my comfort zone for this one.
Using a cream color for my base I cut my 8x11 smaller then a 4x5 and using my Nate's ABC cartridge I cut my letter A at 3.0 in the orange and using some back to school stickers and ribbon I also cut off the prongs of a brad and pop doted it to my corner for my bling I used to green jewels and some of Tim Holtz distress glitter.
The inside of the card was also cut at 3.0 and I used some blue glitter to add some sparkle to the pond of water. My little boy was cut at 3.0 and I surrounded him with a bit more back to school stickers.
I hope everyone likes my little creation and for all the mom's out in our group I know my home is ready to be teen-age free in two weeks back to school for my guys. Enjoy the rest of your week
